Overview
Erg Chigaga Experience is a great way to see the desert. On this thrilling 4×4 desert safari to the great dunes of Erg Chigaga, you’ll be totally off-road as you drive across the stunning landscapes of the Sahara. You’ll pass wild camels, donkeys, and desert nomads, as you cross stone desert, fossil valleys and fertile agricultural spots. Discover the secret desert oasis and visit ancient shrines, then enjoy lunch under the shade of a tamarisk tree.
Arrive at the big dunes and explore at leisure. Take a camel ride at dusk, before watching the magnificent desert sunset then dinner and music round the campfire under the stars. The next day watch the desert sunrise before heading back to M’Hamid across a different desert route. A tour full of surprises.
What you’ll do
Depart M’Hamid mid-morning for a thrilling 4×4 off-road ride across the Sahara Desert. Lunch at a secret desert oasis. Camel ride at sunset at the great dunes of Erg Chigaga with dinner, music and stars.
Sunrise at the dunes, breakfast and return by 4 x 4 by a different route. Arrive in M’Hamid around 11.00h.

2) Reserve your tour with a €50 deposit. The balance can be paid on arrival or in advance of your tour. Any discounts will be applied at the time of booking.
3) Receive a confirmation email with tour details, travel information and confirmation of payment. Use your secure log-in to view your booking.
4) Private Transport to/from M’Hamid can also be booked via our website.

All our tours are all inclusive from M’Hamid: this includes desert transport, camels, accommodation (bivouac or tents for camping), camping equipment and supplies, guides, chefs, all meals (breakfast, lunch, dinner), water and refreshments.
Transfers to and from M’Hamid are not included and can be booked separately through us upon request. See transport.
